Download Tradjo

Get started with Tradjo

About 5 minutes, once. After that your journal fills itself in every time you trade in NinjaTrader 8.

Pro setupFree planEvery day2 computersTroubleshooting
You need: NinjaTrader 8 on Windows, and Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Your trades stay on your own computer; nothing is uploaded.

Pro setup (automatic)

For Pro and Founding Member plans. Have your licence key ready; it's in your welcome email and starts with TRDJ-.

1
Download and unzip Tradjo

Download Tradjo-Setup.zip, then right-click it → Extract All → Extract. You'll get a folder with two files:

TradjoLogger.zip (the add-on for NinjaTrader) and Tradjo.html (your journal). Move Tradjo.html to your Desktop so it's easy to find.

Don't unzip TradjoLogger.zip — NinjaTrader imports it as a zip.

Chrome says "Suspicious download blocked"? That's Chrome being careful with new software it hasn't seen many times yet. Click the download icon (top right of Chrome) → the Tradjo-Setup.zip line → Download suspicious file (or open chrome://downloads → ⋮ → Keep). In Edge: ⋯ → Keep → Keep anyway. Only download Tradjo from tradjo.com.
2
Import the Logger into NinjaTrader

In the NinjaTrader 8 Control Center: Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…, choose TradjoLogger.zip and click Open. Answer Yes / OK to any questions.

Then close NinjaTrader (File → Exit) and open it again.

3
Activate your licence

A few seconds after NinjaTrader starts, the Tradjo Licence window opens by itself. (You can also open it any time from New → Tradjo Licence.)

NinjaTrader New menu with Tradjo Licence at the bottom

New → Tradjo Licence

Paste your key into the box and click Activate. When it turns green and says Activated!, automatic logging is on.

Green means you're done. Every fill on every account (live, Sim, Playback) is now saved.

4
Open your journal and turn on Auto-sync
  1. Double-click Tradjo.html. It opens in Chrome or Edge. (If it opens in another browser: right-click → Open with → Chrome.)
  2. Click ⟳ Auto-sync (top right).
  3. In the window that opens, click Documents on the left → NinjaTrader 8 → Tradjo, select executions.csv and click Open. If the browser asks, click View file / Allow.
Tradjo journal dashboard with Live auto-sync status

Top right shows Live · executions.csv · file updated today … — new trades appear within seconds.

That's it. Trade as usual. Keep the Tradjo tab open and your journal updates itself.

Free plan (import by hand)

The free plan doesn't need the Logger or a licence key, and works on any number of computers. It holds up to 60 trades a month.

1
Open Tradjo.html

Download and unzip Tradjo (step 1 above) and double-click Tradjo.html.

2
Export your trades from NinjaTrader

In the Control Center, open the Executions (or Trades) tab, right-click the list → Export and save the CSV file.

3
Import

In Tradjo click Import (or drag the CSV onto the page). Do this whenever you want to update.

Want it automatic and unlimited? Try Pro free for 14 days.

Every day

Start NinjaTrader and open Tradjo.html. Browsers ask for permission again each time a page is reopened, so if you see Click Auto-sync to resume, click Auto-sync once and Allow. No need to choose the file again.

Your journal notes, tags and ratings are saved in your browser. Use ⚙ Settings → Download backup now and then to keep a copy.

Using 2 computers

Every Pro licence works on 2 computers, for example your trading PC and a laptop. Install the Logger and activate the same key on each one.

Got a new computer? On the old one, open New → Tradjo Licence → Deactivate this computer. That frees the slot. If the old computer is gone, email support@tradjo.com and we'll free it for you.

Troubleshooting

Chrome or Edge blocked the download

New software is often flagged until browsers have seen it downloaded many times. Open your downloads list (Ctrl + J), find Tradjo-Setup.zip and choose Download suspicious file / Keep. Always download Tradjo from tradjo.com. If it still won't download, email support@tradjo.com and we'll send it to you directly.

I can't find my licence key

It's in the email titled "Your Tradjo licence key" from support@tradjo.com — check your Spam or Promotions folder too. It's also shown on the page you saw right after paying. Still missing? Email support@tradjo.com with the email address you paid with.

"This key is already active on 2 computers"

Deactivate one of them (New → Tradjo Licence → Deactivate this computer), or email support and we'll free a slot.

The Tradjo Licence window doesn't open

Make sure you imported TradjoLogger.zip and restarted NinjaTrader. Then look for New → Tradjo Licence at the bottom of the menu. If you previously used an older Tradjo or NT-Journal Logger, delete TradjoLogger.cs / NTJournalLogger.cs from Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\AddOns and import again.

NinjaTrader says the import failed

Close NinjaTrader, delete any old TradjoLogger.cs from Documents\NinjaTrader 8\bin\Custom\AddOns, reopen NinjaTrader and import TradjoLogger.zip again.

My trades don't appear in the journal
  1. Check the licence window says Active in green.
  2. Check the journal's top right says Live · executions.csv. If not, click Auto-sync and pick Documents\NinjaTrader 8\Tradjo\executions.csv.
  3. Look at the time after "file updated" — it should change after each trade.
I'm offline / travelling

The Logger keeps working offline for 7 days, then needs a quick internet connection to re-check your licence. Your trades keep being saved locally either way.

How do I cancel or change my card?

Use the Manage subscription link in your Stripe/Link receipt email. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
